These frames are lead-lined to match the shielding level of the wall where they are installed. They are available in a variety of frame materials, profiles and construction. A voice passage is optional in all designs

Two designs are available:

The fixed hollow metal type is the simplest and most economical. It is designed for new construction and is built into the wall or barrier as the studs are installed.

The slip-type (or split-type) hollow metal frame is a two-piece frame that "plugs" together into a rough opening after the wall is finished and is ideal for existing construction. Each frame is designed for a specific wall thickness and is secured with screws after both pieces are inserted into the opening.
